Job Summary
GLE Scrap Metal is seeking a full-time recycling driver to assist with collection services to ensure that metals are collected and transported in an appropriate manner. The truck driver position is responsible for collection services in order to ensure that our customers’ expectations are met by transporting various materials back to our recycling facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Operates commercial trucks
- Performs required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and provides required reports
- Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Maintains all required certifications required by DOT
- Maintains and protects all property
- Informs on-duty mechanic of any maintenance issues with equipment and/or vehicles
- Fuels truck at the end of each workday
- Truck wash
- Communicates effectively with management, dispatch and all divisional employees
Requirements:
- Have a valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license
- Driving at least 1 year
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid health card and license
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
