Job Summary
The market leader in Non-Ferrous Metal Recycling GLE Scrap Metal, has an immediate opening for a production line laborer (night shift)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and sort various wire for pre-shred
- Identify and remove non conforming materials that will contaminate the production batch
- Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor
- Assembling packaging for outbound materials
- Following production guidelines and specifications
- Finalizing and packing products for shipment
- Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment
- Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products
- Working on the production line and meeting production targets
- Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty.
- Performing other tasks as assigned
- Following health and safety standards
Requirements
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and other physical activities for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors with expose to the sun and incremental weather
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical
Skills
- Use of hand and power tools, computers, forklifts
- Ability to work safely and properly follow all company policies
- Ability for sitting, standing, walking, forward bending, climbing, squatting, lifting, kneeling, pulling/ pushing and reaching
- Ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision
