GLE National Accounts Sales Representative
GLE Scrap Metal is looking for an experienced National Accounts/Industrial Metal Recycling Sales Rep to establish new scrap supplier relationships, retain existing customers, ensure coordination of sales activities and purchase materials for our locations in both Florida and Michigan. This position requires a minimum of five years of scrap metal industry experience, with a preference for specialization in non-ferrous metals.
Responsibilities include all elements of the scrap buying cycle – prospecting, qualifying, pursuing, and closing new business while handling existing accounts. Applicant must be driven with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Develop and execute a plan for purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous recyclables from industrial accounts nation-wide
- Material may be shipped directly to GLE facilities, partners, or consumers. Experience with trading and logistics is necessary
- Understanding all commodities and how markets affect values
- Communicate with customers – call, visit and email as needed to understand their needs and identify opportunities
- Effectively strategize and target growth opportunities
- Create submit, and negotiate bids and contracts
- Establish and build relationships with new and existing customers
Experience and Skills
- Five years of scrap metal buying, selling, trading, or operations experience
- National Account experience required
- Initiative and drive in pursuing customers and building a book of business
- Must be independent
- Software Management; CRM, Microsoft Office
- Excellent Communication (written and verbal) and Listening Skills
- Strong negotiation skills

- Time management
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

- Salary plus bonus/commission
