GLE Facility Manager
An industry leader in metals recycling, GLE Scrap Metal is looking for an experienced Scrap Facility Manager at our Warren, MI recycling facility. Your main job will be to ensure the smooth daily operation of the facility. This position works outside in the elements.
Responsibilities.
- Oversee the daily operation of the plant
- Work with company management and logistics on planning daily inbound and outbound materials
- Ensure consistent production and material quality
- Flow and direct traffic within the facility
- Lead all safety meetings, make sure all company safety and Osha standards are followed
- Learn and master our proprietary industry related software
- Assist the team in getting materials unloaded inbound and checked in
- Fill in for vital team members during absences and vacations
- Train new employees in their specific job functions
- Maintain proper housecleaning procedures and maintenance of the facility
- Lead with a positive can do attitude
Qualifications.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong work ethic with multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to meet work schedule with dependability and consistency
- Consistent positive attitude
- Advanced computer skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays
- Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of previous supervisory/managerial experience in the recycling industry
- Experience in financial analysis, forecasting
